ISI Web of Knowledge – RSS Alerting

September 22, 2006

RSS Alerting -  RSS feeds to receive search, citation, and tables of content alerts from ISI Web of Knowledge.

You will need to register in ISI Web of Knowledge the first time.

After searching in Web of Science, you can save your searches. Use ‘Search History’ and then click on ‘Save History’ icon. You will need to fill up ‘Save Search History’ form with a name for your alert, a brief description, and an option to receive an email alert for your query. If you are only interested in receiving RSS feeds, do not mark ‘Send Me Email Alerts’ box.
Click on ‘Save’ and you will notice an ‘XML’ icon that provides the URL for the RSS feed for your query. The

XML’ icon provides the URL that can be copied and pasted in your feed reader.

See various training sessions on how to use Web of Knowledge efficiently at Web of Knowledge Recorded Sessions.

Eprintweb

September 19, 2006
About EprintWeb
EprintWeb is an e-print service in the fields of physics, mathematics, non-linear science, computer science, and quantitative biology, and consists of e-print records which can be browsed and searched.
The contents of EprintWeb are provided by arXiv, which is operated and funded by Cornell University Library, a private not-for-profit educational institution, and is also partially funded by the National Science Foundation. The contents of arXiv conform to Cornell University academic standards.
Information for Users
EprintWeb has been built upon the successful arXiv e-print archive hosted at Cornell. Just like arXiv, EprintWeb is updated daily and will always be completely free to access.
So what’s different about EprintWeb?
We have focused on your experience as a user, and have addressed issues of navigation, searching, personalization and presentation, in order to enhance that experience. We have also introduced reference linking across the entire content, and enhanced searching on all key fields, including institutional address.
You don’t need to register to use EprintWeb, but by registering you will be able to take advantage of the useful and time-saving personalization options that are available. As a registered user you can set up e-mail alerts, change your settings and default views or use “My Eprints” to flag articles of interest and have them available to you in a personal view.
